Bengt-Arne Vedin is a PhD and a professor; the Secretary General of The Ruben Rausing Foundation for Research on Entrepreneurship and Innovation; a member of the TELDOK Editorial Board; the author of 60 (sixty) books on innovation, information technology, and the future, in various combinations; fellow, Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences; fellow, World Academy of Art & Science; fellow (and Board member) Swedish Verbovisual Academy; Life Member, World Future Society; and a Board Member Swedish Society for Members of Parliament and Scientists.

   Bengt-Arne Vedin is the principal editor of the report from the Study Tour.

Anna Karlstedt has worked as an information administrator and co-ordinator at IMIT since 1988. She edits the IMIT magazine ”Management of Technology”, with a circulation of 14,000 copies. Published quarterly, the magazine informs industry leaders and researchers of current research. Anna Karlstedt is responsible for external and internal information as well as public relations. She also supports projects with co-ordination and information-oriented activities.

   Anna Karlstedt has coordinated the Study Tour and will co-edit the report from the Tour, which will be available in the spring of 2000.

From 1983 he was the managing director of The Association of the Swedish IT and Telecom Industry (IT-Företagen), an organization of Swedish corporations involved in the marketing of IT and telecom products and services; and IT-Företagen continues to be one of ITfacts’ most valuable clients.

Ms Gull-May Holst is a freelance researcher and writer with a specific interest in IT users and usage. She is the editor of The TELDOK Yearbook since its inception in 1986. In addition, she is the author and the co-author of some 25 books on various aspects of IT. Ms Holst holds a Master’s degree from the University of Stockholm, majoring in linguistics, English and Russian. After leaving the Stockholm School of Journalism in 1968, she worked as a journalist in the international arena and left journalism for the high tech industry in 1970. Since 1991 she works as a consultant on a freelance basis. Current TELDOK projects are the English edition of The TELDOK Yearbook 2000, due in March 2000, an English version of interactive media utilization in the Swedish parliament, and a study about user effects of telecoms liberalization.

Municel COO, Johan Jörgensen, BA, is one of the leading personalities within the Swedish Internet Industry. A former editor in chief of several trade publications within the IT industry, he has been involved in the sector since its inception. He co-founded Finanstext, a financial information company, is the founder of the leading Swedish Internet news service Interaktiv Tid, and is a co-founder of Neutron AB, the knowledge disseminating arm of the Spray Group. Johan Jörgensen also has been an advisor to, and member of the board in several start-up companies in the Internet industry. Johan Jörgensen has a unique network within the Nordic Internet Industry.

Dr. Bertil Thorngren is the Chairman of the TELDOK Editorial Committe since its inception in 1979. (During this 20-year period TELDOk has published more than 180 reports, listed and available here.) Bertil Thorngren’s ”alma mater” is the Stockholm School of Economics where he received his Doctorate in Economics and became Associate Professor (”docent”) in 1974 , followed by assignments at other universities outside and inside Sweden. For a number of years Bertil Thorngren then served in senior management positions at the Telia Group, returning to the SSE in 1996 as Director and Head of its Center for Information and Communications Research (CIC). He is also an elected member of the Royal Swedish Society for Engineering Sciences. (IVA)
